Myths about Facebook

You've probably been using Facebook for some time and you know that many of the arguments people use to justify not participating in it are just myths. Let's take a look at them. pirater facebook

Myth No. 1: Facebook is only for those who want to make themselves

One could say that life is for those who are able to create their own reality. It doesn't matter if you take Facebook or life in general, it is obvious that there will always be people who show off, pose, and produce themselves. It all depends on who the person is and what they do. Facebook does not allow only 'posers to sign up.

Myth 2: Facebook addictive

It is just like any other substance or thing, addictive depending on who it is used. You can see how much time people spend online, whether they are checking their emails, surfing the net, working, exercising, shopping, etc. These are just a few examples of how we entertain ourselves or avoid boredom.

Myth No 3 - Using Facebook is a way to avoid social contact

It is clear that Facebook makes it easier to keep in touch with family and friends from the past. People can chat to their friends online and have a much more enjoyable time than going to meet up in person. According to a Cambridge University study, Facebook can be very helpful in maintaining relationships that may have been lost. They also found that Facebook allowed users to see their connections from a different perspective and provided them with more opportunities to interact.

Myth No. 4: Facebook will begin to charge users.

Facebook, a social network like Facebook, would likely start charging its users sooner or later. A Business Week interview with Facebook's COO Sandberg revealed that Facebook is currently making money, and it is already profitable because of its advertising revenues. Don't be fooled by the targeted ads in right column. The company does not plan to charge for services at this point.

Myth No 5. People using Facebook are not looking for love, admiration, or affection

That's what people want in life, so why is it different that we can achieve this via Facebook? My clients are less socially excluded because they can participate in social networking and find meaning through sharing the way technology allows.
